These rules are to be considered to be the main rules of the forum, and as such will be consulted first in any moderation case or appeal. These are not an exhaustive list, and as such there may be additional section specific rules to compliment these.
1. Don't post anything illegal
Simple one, this one - if it's illegal, we don't want it on our forums. If you post something asking how to get drugs, or kill someone, tell people you're going to kill the President or rape someone, ask someone how to commit software piracy or get away with child abuse - or anything else illegal - we won't tolerate it. It's not funny, and it puts the forum at risk on a legal standpoint.
2. No flaming/baiting/trolling
Here at the VF Alliance, we like to keep it friendly. Civil, in fact. So, flaming or flamebaiting is not allowed. However, someone disagreeing with your opinion is not trolling. Discretion will be used by the moderators who will decide whether a particular case is trolling or flaming and will take appropriate action.
3. Do not post anything obscene
This includes, but is not limited to - pornography, obscene or excess gore, violence, or any "shock site" links. If in doubt, ask yourself if it could be considered "PG-13". If not, don't post it.
4. Do not post links to commercial sites
Simple enough to understand. Do not post any links to sites that ask for referrals in order to make money by clicking adverts, answering surveys or any other method of collecting referrals to gain a monetary reward.
5. Moderators and Administrators have the final word
While it is acceptable to feel that a decision has been made unfairly and appeal for it to be over-ruled, do so in a civil manner, following the proper procedure. Not doing so will not help your appeal process and may land you with further moderation decisions.
This is not an exhaustive list and Moderators/Administrators have the right to warn/ban nations who's actions are deemed to be unacceptable. These warnings and bans will be reviewed.
